Assumptions and formula

Each month: Balance = Balance × (1 + Annual rate ÷ 100 ÷ 12) + Monthly contribution. Months are counted until Balance ≥ Goal. With 0% interest this is simply (Goal − Saved) ÷ Monthly contribution, rounded up.
