Emergency Fund Planner
Essential monthly expenses × months of cover = your target. Then see how many months of saving it takes to get there.

Formula and assumptions
Target = Monthly essential expenses × Months of cover.
Gap = Target − Current emergency savings (never below 0).
Months to reach = Gap ÷ Monthly saving (rounded up to a whole month). If current savings already cover the target, the gap is 0 and months to reach is 0.
Assumptions, stated plainly: “essential” means only the costs you must keep paying in a bad month — housing, food, bills, and transport. Optional spending, debts, and future income changes are not modelled here. Enter your own currency; no currency conversion is done.
